I just updated my cygwin install and found that my old gmake from a vendor no
longer worked. After switching to the make distributed with cygwin I found
that it no longer likes seeing full paths in the form of "c:/a/b/c.c".
Now it seems to want me to use the full "/cygdrive/c/a/b/c.c".

sshd is very picky about file permissions and ownership. I had a hard
time setting it up on one box, but luckily I had it working on another,
and by comparing, I finally got it working. I can't remember the
details, but one was getting /var/empty owned by SYSTEM.
