XEmacs under Cygwin for a long time. I've always used --with-dragndrop
and have never encountered any problems. You could try to download the
21.4 source package and rebuild with that option. Perhaps it will work
for you, too.

There seems to be a problem with the 20051017 snapshot and process exit
values.
$ cat t.c
int main (int argc, char **argv)
{
return 1;
}
$ gcc -Wall -o t t.c
$ ./t ; echo $?
0
With the previous snapshot, $? = 1.

I recommend running ssh from bash in an rxvt window instead of using the
CMD.EXE window. This will give you an xterm terminal in Debian which
will work much better. I use it all the time with Debian 3.1 and have no
problems.

I guess this problem has been around for a while. I'm seeing it with the
latest snapshot and also with 1.5.18, with the latest bash and the test
bash.

Where's the best place to stash this?
Create a file in /etc/profile.d with a .sh extension. This will be
executed by /etc/profile. It won't be overwritten even if /etc/profile
is (which will happen unless you modify /etc/profile yourself).

I tried to build it last week with --with-msw=yes and it crashed when I
