GNU Emacs/rxvt/bash and dead-keys

Although I can get dead-keys working on rxvt/bash, I can't use them in 
GNU Emacs at the same environment.

Can you please help me with this irritant problem? I had already 
searched mailing lists and websites for this problem, but no solution 
seems to work in here.
