I mentioned that less(1) was crashing the shell/cygwin environment. I reinstallation of all packages seemed to have solved the problem. But I'm continuing to see the same crash, and others just like it. The following have resulted in the same type of crash: % vi % strings <somefilename> | less After the last crash, I open a new bash shell and the latter command works fine. When vi crashes, it leaves a zombie vi process in Windows' Task Manager, and bash lingers until vi is terminated. I'm not sure how to debug this, or what else I can report here. The cygcheck output is here: http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2013-10/msg00049.html Thanks. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
