Subversion package maintainer

2003-10-03 Thread Dave Slusher
I have recently had to build a cygwin version of the Subversion client for my own uses. It was time consuming enough that it made me wonder about the status of rolling this project into a cygwin package. I would be willing to serve as package maintainer if there is not someone already planning to d

Re: cygpath hangs from postinstall scripts when called like $(cygpath -S) but not otherwise

I should emphasize that the reason this is important is because the XFree86-bin-icons package calls cygpath in this manner and it freezes setup.exe when the postinstall or preremove script gets run. So, there is current breakage with this. It is not a hypothetical situation. Harold Harold L

Cygwin-specific README naming: rigid or just convention?

2003-10-03 Thread Daniel Reed
Going through the nit-pick procedure: Does it matter if the Cygwin-specific README is name-version-release.README or just name-version.README? http://cygwin.com/setup.html gives an example of boffo-1.0.README, which is of the form name-version.README (so both boffo-1.0-1 and boffo-1.0-2 would cont
