THX for the feedback regarding the packaging of task. And sorry for me
"pinging" (we had a couple of user who have been asking for task in
cygwin though...)
I have now fixed the 2 remarks you had:

Thx for your time and help. It's appreciated.
Great news about the task package for 1.5. As you have mentioned that
it is GTG - will you upload it then and when. I just ask so that the
upstream prpject could inform users about this.

A new package "task-1.7.1-1" is ready for upload after getting a GTG
from Dave Korn (THX for all the help, BTW).

with newer cygwin versions). It is a required update. The old version
should be removed

A new major version of task is available. After one year of development
task 2.0.0 got released a couple of days ago. There are too many changes
to name them all here in detail - please refer to

The package 2.0.0-1 was not correct (by mistake only the src package
was made available). In order to ensure/enforce an upgrade to the
correct binary version I have repackage task to 2.0.0-2

Hi,
I am trying to upload the 64bit package for task. I can get into the
sftp server. And the upload of the setup.hint file works.
But when it comes to the package itself the upload fails with a
"connection closed" right at the beginning of the file itself.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
