Could someone explain what is the difference between: /etc/defaults/ /usr/share/<package>/
1) Say, a file includes a 'packagerc' default settings that are used in case $HOME/.packagerc is not set, where this file should be done? 2) If package includes a SAMPLE, what administrator must specifically activate, where will this file be put? Is it: /usr/share/<package>/ Or /usr/share/doc/<package>/sample.packagerc 3) When package is updated and it includes a NEW version of the default configuration 'packagerc', how should this be handled? -- http://tiny-tools.sourceforge.net/ Swatch @time http://www.mir.com.my/iTime/itime.htm http://www.ryanthiessen.com/swatch/resources.htm Use Licenses! http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=6225 Which Licence? http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=4825 OSI Licences http://www.opensource.org/licenses/
