Sorry for the cross-post, but...
Ok, so I downloaded rdesktop 1.4.1 to build it with cygwin on a WinXP Pro
machine. And on the "make install", I am getting this error:
jic 16:32:18-> make install
mkdir -p /usr/local/bin
/usr/bin/install -c rdesktop /usr/local/bin
strip /usr/local/bin/rdesktop

I have pretty much the same problem as José Cabrera.
I am running this startxwin.bat from Windows XP:
