Fatal Error with Cygwin usage

Hi, i just downloaded the freeware software with the x11 feature. When i type 'startx' command, the program seems to run, but ends up giving me a Fatal error message saying: A fatal error has occured and Cygwin/X will now exit. Please open /tmp.XWin.log for more imformation. please guide. him
