In other words, would there be general unhappiness if I were to set the
(chere) xterm startup command to something along the lines of:

Under an XOrg installation on any of the various unicies XMMS (by default)
hides its window manager decorations, this can be turned off by ticking
"Show window manager decorations" in the options of XMMS.
Unfortunately when running XMMS on a remote system which exports its
display to Cygwin/X, th
I found the exact same issue and didn't want to waste time trying to find a
solution that wasn't there, so quickly coded up a nice little program to do
the job for me.

Just save it somewhere in the path (like C:\Windows or something) and change
"start XWin
. One system is working, one is not.
I've tried playing with various combinations of the +/-bs, -su, -wm and
-engine parameters to XWin, but to no avail.
XWin is being started as
XWin -multiwindow -clipboard -silent-dup-error
I can provide other information if requested.

Upon upgrading to version 1.11.1-1 built 2011-10-05, I found my usual startup
of X no longer succeeds.
It appears it's a combination of -nolisten tcp and -multiwindow that leads
to the problem. Either used alone
seems to work ok, the two together yield the crash.
