Hi, I have a problem with establishing an ssl connection to solaris 8. From a local xterm window, command xterm -sb -rightbar -e ssh -X just hangs after accepting the password and giving the usual warning about fake authentication data. Strange is that this problem occurs with -multiwindow m

Hi all, and thanks for the ideas. Actually, I previously had problems with extraneous newlines from keyboard and somebody suggested 'xset r off', which was still there in my startup script. It didn't bother me with 4.3.0-21 but disabled the repeat with 4.3.0-22. Now I just removed xset from my

Hi all, the Alt Gr button on my european keyboard does not seem to work at all with Solaris or Linux emacs/xemacs on XFree86-xserv-4.3.0-50. For example, pressing AltGr-4 should produce the dollar sign on my keyboard, but only number 4 comes actually out. However, the button works with xterm. This

Hi, unfortunately I can't currently test with twm. However, the same problem exists without -multiwindow on WindowMaker, and with normal -multiwindow option. So probably the problem has existed before 4.3.0-50, at least in 4.3.0-47. For some reason, in 4.3.0-44 I didn't notice it. Tuli Harold L

Hi, the tip helped. I just added line "ForwardX11Trusted yes" to the ssh_config file. This fixed also the other problem of Alt Gr not working. However, the FAQ 5.1 seems to be slightly out of sync with the setup.exe, since file ssh_config resides in /etc after setup, not in /etc/ssh as in FAQ.
