| DEMAND AN INQUIRY OF THE DOWNING STREET MEMO On this Memorial Day we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. And just as we were a year ago on this date we are still trapped in an endless occupation of attrition in Iraq without even an exit plan. For those who gave their lives with honor, we have an obligation to them to get to the bottom of why they had to be deployed there in the first place. We know from the the text of a recently exposed Top Secret British Memorandum (read it for yourself), the president had decided by July, 2002, to invade Iraq and that "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy". There was no imminent threat just an imminent deceit. Just a few heartfelt thoughts from you mean more than any prepared statement can. Who in Congress possesses the integrity to call for an investigation? Who among us cares enough about our country to CALL FOR THE TRUTH no matter where it leads? Bush, President of the United States, has engaged in a conspiracy to deceive and mislead the United States Congress and the American people as to the basis for taking the nation into war against Iraq, that George W. Bush, President of the United States, has manipulated intelligence so as to allege falsely a national security threat posed to the United States by Iraq, and that George W. Bush, President of the United States, has committed a felony by submitting a false report to the United States Congress on the reasons for launching a first-strike invasion of Iraq: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Committee on the Judiciary is directed to investigate and report to the House of Representatives whether sufficient grounds exist to impeach George W. Bush, President of the United States. Upon completion of such investigation, that Committee shall report thereto, including, if the Committee so determines, articles of impeachment.
