Senate Commerce Committee Chmn. John McCain (R-AZ) announced agenda for
upcoming session, including several communications related issues. The
Commerce Committee will examine, in order of importance:
(1) Financial crisis in telecom industry
Unless something really strange happens, McCain takes over the
commerce committee. He's not as bad as Hollings on DRM, which is
damming with faint praise, but hardly laissez-faire in general. He was
