Experian threatens to sue in electoral roll row 'In a growing battle over privacy rights, Experian, Britain's biggest credit reference agency, is threatening legal action against local authorities refusing to release information held on the electoral roll. An Experian spokesman said: "A number of local authorities have taken it upon themselves to resist new government regulations which give us the right to buy electoral roll data for permitted purposes."'
