How about color of wheels stay at extent of output space gamut and some kind of
warning symbol to centre area of wheel maybe that channel or gamut is clipped?
Does that make sense or have I misunderstood?

When I press Ctrl+D in darkroom mode, darktable clones the image, but adds it the green mark, which doesn't exist at source image. Current git.
