well, about threads.
we have a fixed pool of worker threads, you can configure how many that is
in your config (but please don't go and do that now, hopefully it will
become clear why not). these guys have a work queue, which should really
have priorities but it doesn't at this point. there is the

This option already exists. If your mouse pointer is close to the line

Runs just fine on my Xubuntu 64 system.
Is there (or will there be) a way to change brush size and to soften the
edges?

Indeed :)
Looks better now on my side too. Thanks.

I opened the database with the firefox plugin SQLite manager. There is a
table called 'history' which contains some of the modifications but not
all. Maybe I'm wrong with the table, but history sounds right. Maybe
when the program crashes they are not written to the table. But when I

I hope I fixed it now. A nasty beginners bug.
There remain
I'm trying to understand the way DT stores its information in the
database. I thought every change would be represented there. Now I found
that some changes are not in the history table. Even those that were
applied when loading the images (sharpen and basecurve). I would like to
have some more

The best way to travel is by means of imagination
http://v2p.
It looks like we don't call setpriority(2) or equivalent to keep
threads doing non-interactive work at a lower priority.
This would make the GUI less slow when eg exporting or otherwise.
Any objections or reasoning why not?

as houz said in the comments above, i'm not sure who uses the gphoto
import. it's slower than cf/mass storage and occasionally crashes. there
were reports of deleted files, even though i couldn't ever confirm it.

Hello Everyone,
Pardon me for jumping in as a simple DT-user out there... I would like to
ask for an improvment to the "import" feature of DT [the one that is
currently disabled by default in git]... As I use DT for end to end
management of my images, I'm not willing to use an external software to
