Is the cause for http://bugzilla.rawstudio.org/show_bug.cgi?id=604 a
similar issue? If so, will a fix probably make a re-profiling of
noise necessary here as well?

awesome, thanks for the heads-up!
i think these profiles sucked anyways, the curves always looked like there
was something fishy near the blacks. will keep this in mind and double
check.
