I asked whether or not it was a configurable option because I wondered if I

I find, at least on a Mac laptop, that the mouse hover feature is rarely
useful and noticeably annoying. I only want to act on selected items and
consistently find myself acting on hovered items. Also, it does weird
things in sticky preview mode in the lighttable. If I update the metadata
on one im
