no, not entirely.
Recursive means the current directory plus all subfolders, sub-sub-folders,
sub-sub-sub-folders etc. and so on ...

The software that I bought should make it possible to *read* the
ntfs-formatted disk ... I don’t know why dt doesn’t support that too.

Hello Hieke,Sorry, it took me a while to understand - If I even did it - but it reminds me a similar problem with a HD being shared between a w7 machine and a Ubuntu 16 one. Each time the disk was read on the windows machine, I could not read it anymore on my linux one, and had to re-format it.It

Hi Paul et al,
Tnx. I forgot to mention that the files can be read when connected to the
Macbook. I’ll dive into the Kernel permissions first and update you guys later.

You don't say if the machines are talking to each other. My first thing to look
at is can the M1 see the files on the Windows box? Using a standard file
manager/browser
Hi All,
I can not comment on specific MAC computers as I claim to be allergic
to them, but I teach DT to students and many students have MAC computers
and DT works fine on them. I am yet to have a student who could not get DT
working on the MAC.

Well, better believe it.
DT (official binary distribution) runs perfectly on Apple M1. On mine, since
over a year now.

Hi there,
A few weeks ago we had a conversation about darktable on my Macbook Air (M1)
not being able to see (let alone import) photos from my external HDD that I had
created on my Windows laptop. The tip was: format it. The HDD is ntfs formatted
so I bought and downloaded this license for ease
