Both methods work, Bernhard. The person asking the original question
now has two good possibilities to answer his needs.

Look in ~/.config/darktable/darktablerc using a text editor for
"panel_width=325". It's line 102 on my Linux machine. That may vary
based on your own situation, but it will be close.

I still do not understand why you are still messing
Look in ~/.config/darktable/darktablerc using a text editor for
"panel_width=325". It's line 102 on my Linux machine. That may vary
based on your own situation, but it will be close.

I use darktable 3.0.2-1.1 with XUbuntu 20.04 and a 32° UHD display. It
is not so easy to get an usable fontsize for *all* programs. At the
moment the fonts are too big with dt and default values, but this fits
for most other programs.
My main problem
Also look for "screen_dpi_overwrite=-1.0" and modify as needed.

My main problem is now, that I cannot select an export
