Initially the module works correctly,

indeed there is a difference in height/width ratio. More distorted,
but the hugin proportions seem to me more correct (that's at least
what I percepted with some hundred photos during the last months).
FWIW i put the raw here - crop sensor, yes. and the highlights on the
left are
I strongly prefer the darktable correction. IMHO is very less distorted.
