I just tried using the create HDR feature for the first time. It was, how shall
I put it, less than optimal to say the least. The initial image appeared to
only take the dark portions of each picture. My options seem to be either
severely distorted color or odd extended patches of gray in a colo

Anyhow, what is your setting on the number of background jobs in core options?

before I spent so much money in this, can someone share the average
thumbnail generation time (from raw, not from embedded jpeg) difference
with and without such card?

Hi,
I' d like to be able to save as a preset or part of a style "do
whatever you do when I hit auto" in the levels and/or the exposure
module. At the moment, the actual values of one image are saved - or
is there something that has yet escaped my eye?
I love the Zone System tool and use it extensively. My only issue with it is
the lack of fine tuned control. It would be great if there were 15-20 divisions
rather than 10 as I often find I have to switch to a different module for
mid-tone correction when I could get nearly everything done with

Well, if you want to use masks you automatically have a blend mode activated.
In that case blend mode "normal" (the new one in current git master) is the
best choice. It proportionally mixes input and output of a module without the
risk of artifacts.
