It's correct that the shadows are too dark. This is not a final edit, I
just have taken the exposure down to recover whatever highlights are there.
Forget about the rest.

documented problem
From the web it appears that Arch have already patched to offending exo
but the patch has not fully migrated yet. So for Arch users it works
... for the rest of us we need patience.

Yo
I was about to say LR is unbeatable in highlight recovery. I decided to
try again on your picture to see what's possible with dt... and guess
what? I have almost the same result with dt than the LR image you
posted. Attached is my .xmp (using dt compiled today).
What do you think?

And I did this running dt from the terminal.

I have much less of a problem in this regard than I had a year or so
ago; the developers (I thought) had in the main fixed the main issues in
this problem but it may also be that I am now more cautious in keeping
highlights under control at the time of the exposure.

I think that this is dependent on the email program that one uses.
Previously I used Evolution ... that worked; I have recently tried Claws

Currently (due to other functionality) I use Thunderbird ... that does
not work but provides an error message.

Hi all,
I tried to find a solution to this about a year ago, but I was never quite
satisfied. Also, my pc at the time was too slow to use DT on a regular
basis, so I just let it rest. Now I'm back on a better pc and it is time to
dig into this again.
I have installed the demo of Lightroom 5.3 on m
