Hi Markus,
that settings has not changed the behaviour. But I solved it by delete
.config/darktable and start from scratch. now it worked with much less
memory.

I also have a colorhug and also have troubles with the redshift of my Dell
U2713HM, which i can recommend ( 27', and maybe a little bit above your
budget, but I think they have a 24' model too).
