Longtime dt user, but it's been a while since I've had to post here! A very
good sign.
I have darktable installed at home on my Ubuntu laptop (slow-ish, not a
great screen), and have recently installed it on a Mac Pro workstation at
work as well, where it works very nicely (and I have a
currently: darktable-1.7.0.1418484777.6a7224e
I just exported 265 images, 215 with machine idle and the last 50 while
using darktable with another film roll.
The export times are interesting:
Machine Idle 9.39 per image
Using darktable 8.67 per image
Machine:i7 i
Why is the lighttable full screen preview mode so much slower displaying
edited photos than the full screen display in darktable mode? I would
think that since trying to display the same image in both places, similar
or duplicate code would apply and the image would be presented in a
similar time

I had to answer the same question for me a few month ago. My choice at that
time was a "GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 750 TI OC Version 2048MB GDDR".
