I just came across the same issue I had in November:

My camera has the nikon base curve preset auto-applied, but I'd like to
have nikon alternate instead.
The solution suggested was:
"Go to the preset
Sorry, I missed "edit this preset".

When I try to run darktable 1.6.4 on my debian jessie
the command
/opt/darktable/bin/darktable
gives me
cl_get_gt_device(): error, unknown device
Since this is not googable it seems I am the only one who gets this error.
It is nasty, b
