hi,
yes, these look like broken pixels to me. the black ones are dead green
pixels and the bright crosses are red/blue colour channels i believe. i
could get rid of them by setting the edge threshold to 0.001 in the
demosaic module (this does a median filter on the greens) and use two

Hello DT users,
during my tests with my new Panasonic LX100, I noticed that I sometimes can see
some "strange" pixels, a bit like hot pixels. Some are black, some are green.
An example is visible here:

LG 27EA83, wide-gamut 27" WQHD IPS. The DisplayPort connection is
somehow buggy: monitor wakeup from screensaver doesn't work that way.
But I don't know if that's the monitor, card, or Linux. Other

Hi,
I have moved around quite a lot of my images, with my file manager of
choice, of course, the shell. After reimporting, darktable did
not forget about those images that are not available anymore, but
insists in displaying a thumbnail for them. So for quite some of my
images I see two thumbnai

I've been running with two Dells for the past few years, U3014 and U2711,

Certainly, here's what I use. YMMV and others may have different
approaches. I'm currently running Xubuntu 14.04 LTS.

One critical thing to look at is whether it's a TN or IPS display. TN
displays have a color and contrast that is highly dependant on the angle

Hello DT users,
since my current monitor is past the end of its useful lifespan (it
has developed a yellowish color cast in the middle of the screen) I'm
about to buy a new one. And having taken on raw-processing a bit more
seriously, it seems logical to me to get something that can be

Hi,
When I import my RAW-files (taken with a Nikon D7000), all images have
auto-applied "Orientation", "Sharpen" and "Base curve (nikon like
alternative)"
I would really like this to NOT happen, especially "Base curve" - since
it generates a lot of ISO-noise. However, I am unable to figure out ho
