I think some scanners have some nifty dust removal methods with IR or
something of the sort. How are

Of course I will
By using xiccd in .xinitrc the profile is indeed loaded, but since I
have two monitors darktable-cmstest complains:
DVI-I-1the X atom and colord returned different profiles
X atom:_ICC_PROFILE (728480 bytes)

Thank you, that makes it somewhat clearer. I had tried dispwin in
.xinitrc but that did not load the profile, I will try with the other
software as well.

but forgot to reply.

darktable follows the X11 way of specifying a colour profile. Run
xicc your-profile.icc
and darktable will use it. You also need something like
You can use xicc and xcalib tools for completely DE-agnostic color
management. First one tells programs like darktable about monitor's ICC
profile, second one loads VCGT from ICC profile to video card (so you
should put them both in .xinitrc).

Hello,
DT print module works fine with current RC.
I only printed one photo, didn't try printing many because I don't need to
waste time,
paper and ink, I was happy with the printout.

P.S. : is there still double CR between lines ?

You can use the Darktable Unstable PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~pmjdebruijn/+archive/ubuntu/darktable-unstable
Be warned that it may break (thus unstable) and you cannot downgrade
your library (custom settings etc) afterwards. It is not recommended to
choose this way for unexperienced users.

I've recently started to implement color management (Archlinux with
OpenBox) and considering switching from LightZone to a more elaborate
photo software. Darktable seems promising except for color management.
It is very easy to specify a monitor profile for Gimp, LightZone and
Firefox but Darkt

I am running 1.4-2 under Linux Mint, and see no print module. 1.4-2 is
the supported module under Mint.
Can I install the module somehow? Is it in the 1.6 stable version?
Thank you
