i believe darktable shuts down cleanly for me
Where do i find the library.db file to rename on OSX so that it can recreate a
clean database?

i am running darktable on OSX and it crashes almost every time i export to
JPEG. i've followed all of the directions in the darktable and memory blogpost,
but it is still crashing.

Whenever i start darktable, many of the thumbnails have to regenerate. i've
often tried waiting for all of the thumbnails to generate only to have them
blank again after i quit and start darktable again.
what am i change to make sure that the thumbnails are retained?
