almost same here. I imported from an cf-card and later had references to
/media/username/device, but dt stored this entry in library.db in
addition to the real reference on hard disk. I later deletet the entries
via sqlite3 manually, but still an odd behaviour.

Darktable seems to just add the images to its database with a reference
to the folder on which the removable device is mounted. This means the
images are not available if the removable media is not available.
