I just compiled beagle (cvs as from today 2005.08.03) and at starting
beagled I get the output error (please see attachment) with two
problems:
1 - beagled complains about not finding /dev/inotify. I have a
2.6.13_rc4 kernel running on my gentoo system. This is the output of

indeed, I had a conflicting version of beagle-0.0.12 installed. I did
the changes you mentioned to my cvs copy and uninstalled the 0.0.12
version. Now I'm compiling and will be reporting my results soon.
On the other hand, how should I handle the problem with libebook? Or is
this pro
Ok, now I have a different error at starting beagled with cvs version

There's a small problem with the wv1 library (used for filtering
Microsoft Word documents) which sometimes can result in Beagle entering
an endless loop.
The issue is that the libole2 copy used by wv1, always tries to open the
file in read/write mode, which eventually triggers a 'CloseWrite'

CVS HEAD.
Beagle 0.0.12 is using the old inotify interface.
