i tried this, but i got this error,
Can't open/create file /usr/local/dpsearch/var/store/doc007f.i [base.c:96] --
2 (No such file or directory)
the directory exist and writeable, any ideas?

This is normal for fresh created stored database. Although, please check file
permissions on such files for a user under which search.cgi is executed.
