The USB power management support in the 2.6 kernel has worked for me with at 
least 3 different hub chipsets.  I believe the power feature was exposed in 
2.6.19, so it would not be in the 2.6.18 MV kernel.

Unfortunately, they removed "suspend" in newer kernels!  I've tested this with 
optical mice and keyboards, and it works for me.  I'll admit, I'm kind of 
bummed that suspend was removed.
