Hi,
The problem looks like is with the serial port on my PC and not
the board. I hooked up an oscilloscope and confirmed data coming out
of the board but my PC serial port is not displaying anything.

Hi,
Can anyone who is currently using the davinci EVM let me
know how
many LED's they see glowing on the board on powerup? On my board I
see
only one LED and it is DS9
Any ideas from on how to debug this and to confirm UART on board is
good/bad are appreciated.
To see if UART on board is bad, you could configure S3 to boot from
UART. When you power on your DVEVM you must see the messages BOOTME
BOOTME
