[BG] DVSPB stands for "Digital Video Software Production Bundle". The two
DVSPB packages do not include a board. If you want the board, you order the
Eval Module.

[BG] One seat of Montavista Pro

[BG] One seat of Montavista Pro, 1 seat of CCS, 1 XDS560R Emulator

[BG] If you wanted to purchase the components "a la carte" then yes, that's
what you would need (as well as an emulator). Note that CCS is specially
priced at $995 ONLY for the month of October. Normally it would cost $3595.

[BG] Currently CCS runs only in a Windows environment. Our eventual move to
CCS4 (currently in beta) will add support for Linux development since CCS4 is
based on the Eclipse IDE.

[BG] The 560 emulators are much faster in general (download speed, single-step
speed, etc.). Personally I use the Blackhawk USB560bp. The bp stands for "bus
powered" as it is powered from USB and does not require a separate power
adapter. It's a fast, convenient emulator. Also, it supports 1.8V emulation
as well as the ARM adaptive clocking of the JTAG.

[BG] I'll let someone else comment on the codec streams. A tip for using
VLYNQ: don't ever do a READ operation with the CPU.
