choosing the binary image header format (to be stored in NAND, NOR, HDD
or whatever medium), why don't you use uImage?

they should be.
What would be the format you'd use? Have you decided yet?

Thanks for the suggestions. It's certainly true that the two programs
(the UBL and the host app) can be made more user friendly for porting to
custom boards, as that wasn't the primary goal when I began writing
them. I'm now working on a similar program for the next DaVinci device,
and
