HI, The earliest place I managed to write to the frame buffer (to display a logo or other 'splash screen') on a DM6446/DM355 is in /etc/init.d/mountall.sh. Any earlier in the boot sequence and you don't have access to the filesystem or udev has not yet created the framebuffer device file. (I did not want to customize the system too much and did not have a long time to spend on it either). For a DM355 booting from FLASH, the time taken before the splash screen appears can take quite a while depending on how long the FLASH partition takes to mount, which in turn depends on the size and contents of the partition. This time can be reduced by making the root partition smaller (I went to 256M from 512M) but this requires modifications to the kernel to do this. Additional speed improvements can be obtained by loading a splash screen from a ramdisk & then switching to the normal FLASH filesystem - you can get power up to splash screen in under 10 seconds. The DM6446 does not suffer from these issues due to having the hard disk for root filesystem, you did not say whether you were DM366 or DM6446 based. I'm afraid I did not understand this bit of your question though 'after start aout 10 minute OSD0 will not disply? why?'
