Hi all,

We are making the next plan. We just meet a choice.

XML driven Media system, Adeos driven Linux for DaVinci or Moblin (Midinux) over DaVinci. Which one you want.

let me explain these to you.

1. XML driven Media system. With this archetecture, you can access apple's radio system (easy to go, but a lot of code need to be writen) or itunes store (need information from Apple) . 2. Adeos driven Linux. With this feature, you run a RTOS parallel to you primary linux. An realtime system can be generated very easy. 3. Midinux ( not the final name, because MIDINUX is a trademark of RedFlag for X86 and ATOM system) . With this distribution of linux, you can build your final internet product very easy. such as MID, UMPC. AYK, aigo has release a MID based on MIDINUX ATOM. But it can only stanby for two ours. All because the atom chips will eat 6w of power, plus other part, almost 10w or more. But with DaVinci or Omap, the core system will only need less than 1.5w. If Omap 3530CUS used, as DDR, NAND and the 3530 core all in single package. The whole system can standby at least 5 hours. Two battery will work for a whole day. What a perfect product.

I know all of the three products are very important. But we can only support one this year before we get enough Investment to have more than one thread per time.

I'll press my thanks to Mr Hong (h...@newclass.com.cn) and his www.newclass.com.cn here. With out their support. Even the past there product won't be born. AYK, in China, very hard to find support for community. But now we have a good start.

If enough support given, we can extend to much more platform. And can deliver more help to the world.

Could you please help us to have a choice.

Thanks a lot.

Hi MKAG, (what is your first name?)

It's not easy to guess what might be wrong.
It could be network related, but it could also be hardware related.

Usually, it's only the decompressing which takes a longer time.
You could try to disable some drivers & see if it improves. But again,
this is a guess.
It's not easy to debug without seeing the target. :)

Hi Theo,

Thanks for ur help. I figured out what was the problem with my file
system.

Actually I did not populate the /dev/* directory with some nodes. So I
was not able to see the output in the console.

Now every thing works fine.

One strange thing while booting 3MB kernel is that it is taking realy
long time to boot after uncompressing the uImage
(~7 seconds).

why is it taking that much time after uncompressing the uImage?

Regards,
Mahendra Kumar

if you can, you'll need to build a combo file.
