Well if you really want to avoid unixODBC, there is always DBD::Proxy. You would run DBD::Proxy on a windows machine to relay. I had to do that many years ago to talk to a data source ( Not SQL Server) that had an ODBC driver on windows, but no Unix/Linux option. I do stress the
