dbi/db2 very slow on fetches

I am displaying my select results on the web through the Apache Web Sever 2.0 , AIX 4.3.3, Perl 5.6.1, UDb/DB2-7.2,DBD-DB2-0.76 Unfortunately for large tables, the fetching of the rows from the web is VERY slow. Is there a way that I can increase performance on my results display? thanks Nnenna
