I am trying to install dbmail-2.0rc8.tgz on a RH9 + MySQL-4.0.21 +

Since I posted this message, I have found additional information which might
be helpful. I installed mysqlcc. In mysqlcc, I notice that dbmail_aliases
has no entry in it. Is it normal?
Previously I had done the same setup except:
(1) dbmail version was: dbmail-1.2.9 & now it is dbmail-2.

You can use your dbmail aliases table as your local recipient table.
For instance:
In main.cf:
alias_maps = mysql:/etc/postfix/alias.cf
local_recipient_maps = $alias_maps
And you can create an alias.cf file as such:
user = postfix
password = PW
dbname = dbmail
table = aliases
select_
