Looks good from my point.

Ulrich: i've applied your patches (4 feb 2003) for freebsd compiling -
could you check wheter current cvs works immediately?

CVS compiles fine, though I have some requests.

1. Could you place the dbmail.conf in $PREFIX/etc and not hardcode it to
/etc?

good idea; how do you expect the $PREFIX to be defined? At compile time?

2. 'make install' installs the 'install-dbmail.sh' script which itself
is only there to do the installing :) Could the install-dbmail.sh script
be removed from the install: target?

agree

3. What exactly is build.sh for? Am I right that it's only creating the
Makefile and doing make && install-dbmail.sh. Why? What's the _right_
way to install dbmail in your eyes? ./configure && make && make install
or ./build.sh ?

build.sh was made for the 1.0 release as the autoconf did not work then. Now it does work it is a bit obsolete.

4. More Questions to come when I finally come up with a good way of
installing/starting/maintaining dbmail on FreeBSD :-)

great! good luck :-)

PS: Please CC any answers, I'm not on the list. Thank you

Met vriendelijke groet,
