The following issue has been SUBMITTED. ====================================================================== http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=907 ====================================================================== Reported By: fknauf Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: DBMail Issue ID: 907 Category: LMTP daemon Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: new target: ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 15-Jun-11 23:29 CEST Last Modified: 15-Jun-11 23:29 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: Delivery to forwarding addresses replaces CRLF line endings with CRCRLF Description: When dbmail-lmtpd receives a mail to a forwarding address (I use these for mailing lists), it spawns sendmail and pipes the message back to it for every forwarding address in the list. Somewhere in the process, LF is apparently replaced by CRLF, and so CRLF line endings end up as CRCRLF which causes Thunderbird (only under Windows and only if the mail is retrieved via POP3, funnily enough) to choke and interpret every line ending as two line endings. I do not know if other MUAs exhibit the same behaviour.
MIME messages typically show up as empty (MIME headers are broken), TNEF messages as a garbled mess of base64 with extra line breaks. Plaintext is readable but shown with double line spacing. I use Postfix 2.8.3 as MTA. ====================================================================== Issue History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 15-Jun-11 23:29 fknauf New Issue ====================================================================== _______________________________________________ Dbmail-dev mailing list Dbmail-dev@dbmail.org http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail-dev
