if you need only labels you can download only the label* datasets from the
download page and add them in your database

we are currently working on a tool that uses dbpedia to gather the
rdfs:label(s) behind certain urls.
We use nodejs to query at http://dbpedia.org/sparql. Everything works
brilliant for about a few hundred requests.
