1. In which format the application is to be submitted in the GSOC account
(I am preferring .pdf) ?
2. Do we have to post the link of our application in the mailing list too?

Hello Divyum,
You should create your application through the melange system as text (with
markup).
You are also allowed to post it on the mailing list for public review if
you want.
We already provide a template for this here:

the wiki page is for setting up intellij, but for compiling code , running
or debugging from IntelliJ you have also to set Run/Debug configurations:
1- from top menu open , Run/edit configurations .
