It's claimed for these shows that on 4/25/69, "The Velvet Underground
played a very long set and as a result the Dead only got to play one
set on this date. According to Ramsey the Dead did the same thing to
the Velvet Underground the next night.
I believe this is incorrect. The Dead opened on 4/2
FYI~
At the end of the first set, the band ended with "let it grow"
and left the stage. Then came back on stage for "dont ease me in".
which dignifies an encore for the first set. Unusual as it is,
it happened just that way. Of course, the crowd was happily surprised :)

In the notes from this show there is a question to
what Bobby says in a portion of the banter after Frozen Lager.
" Weir: You don't applaud the
ten?? art of flower arrangement?"
I am 99.9% certain he is saying
'Zen' not 'ten'.
