I've never heard of this one refered to as "8/29/68" or "8/23/68".
Perhaps this is an error specific to the info that came with your cds?
This is a studio recording from perhaps March or thereabouts. LIsten
carefully - there's no audience. :-)
It sounds
show any performance on 8/29/68. And according to the
search feature the GD never played NPC at any of the Matrix shows (so far as
is known).
To confuse the issue even further, setlist.com shows a performance at the
