I was at the Fest and can confidently say that Billy and Mickey were not
present. Bobby joined Phil and Friends on stage for the second half of
Phil's set. Tunes included Music, Cassidy, Liberty and
Help>Slipknot>Franklin's. It was really cool.

Bob was a busy man that Sunday sharing the stage with Brian Stoltz' band
before his Ratdog set, playing his Ratdog set with a fantastic horn section
including the great, young trumpeter Irvin Mayfield, then joining P&F and
later that night hopping on stage with the funky Meters at the Orpheum.
Brian Stoltz also played the entire second set with Bob during his Ratdog
show at the Howlin Wolf the previous night. (Brian is the current lead
guitar player for the funky Meters for anyone wondering).

For me, after 6 years of a gumbo of Jazzfest sets of all genres, shapes and
sizes, it was kind of fun to get a slew of Dead music added this year!

Kudos to deadlists...keep on growing!

Subject: Music since Jerry's death question

The AP here in Louisiana wrote a short piece, with a photo, about Phil and
Bobby, Billy and Mickey playing together at the NO Jazz & Heritage Festival
as the Otehr Ones and said this was the first time since Jerry's death
they'd all played on one stage together. Is that true or in error?
