I had linux on a 2ci and although my ram situation was a bit more
generous (20mb) i still found the installation of packages laborious. It
was not uncommon for installs to seemingly remain frozen in time for
ages before suddenly springing back to life. I have no explanation as to
what caused it, ot
After seeing a lot of references to the lack of a 2.4 kernel for 68k
mac, I am curious to know what is the background here? Can someone
provide a desription of the issues?

Little success here to report. I have not managed to get a 2ci to boot

I have noticed this too, I investigated and found NO /dev/sr0 or /dev/sr1 -
makes the link from /dev/cdrom => sr0 a bit hard, glad to see it has been fixed

Yes there is a bug with the real time clock on a q950. There is a work
around - I can't remeber exactly what it is but if you do a google
search for rtc and linux and quadra950 you should find the answer.

hi ppls
I have a wgs 95 (quadra950) that cannot find the rtc. At boot time it
keeps getting stuck trying to find the module char-major-10-135
I have tried the 2.4.1 kernel - it gives an OOPS at a very early stage.
the 2.2.5 kernel does no better.
I read someone suggested removing the module fro
