But what is the reason that the usb-stick-method not works? Is it the
init ram disk or some other reason? I agree to, this should be fixed,
if this is working every one can simply put the Network-installer on a
usb-stick and simply install an actual debian-version on pcs of friends
and so on.

Just give me time to find out.
That's what bugs are: we don't know why they happen. They just need to
get investigated, but that needs time. Please just be patient.

Greetings. Not sure if this is worth raising, but it is a lot
of warnings: I just did aptitude safe-upgrade and apart from
various stuff which went well, I got a suspicious-looking mess
which follows after ~/.sig

Mmm, just to make sure: were you using Lenny or Squeeze images? If the
former, please try the Squeeze image: ther

Ok, i tested the squeeze-hd-media-usb-stick image. The result isi the
same, booting with the usb-stick causes the screen not in text
mode-error. I tested only to try g and tab, after that typing
speakup.synth=dummy and was surprised, the brailledisplay now shows the
normal installation like the
